A Thousand Pull Requests for Ten Dollars
Buildful is the Hashnode team's cloud agent: describe a change, get a tested GitHub PR. Open-weight routing is how $10 buys 1,000 tasks.

The last two years of coding agents trained the market to treat $100 as the floor. Buildful printed $10 and dared the comparison page.
Sandeep Panda and Fazle, the Hashnode pair, turned an internal pipeline they called FactoryKit into a public product. You describe a change in a browser, Slack, or Linear. Buildful copies the repo into a private cloud sandbox, picks an open-weight model, runs your checks, browser-tests any screen it touched and records the session, then opens a pull request on GitHub. Pro is $10 a month for 1,000 Smart Mode tasks. Team is $40 for 3,000 tasks shared by unlimited teammates. Add 1,000 more for $10. Three tasks free, no card. Frontier models — Claude, GPT — are prepaid credit or your own key. The included thousand run on whatever open-weight model Smart Mode picks.

The comparison they want you to screenshot
Their October 2026 table puts Factory Max at $200, Claude Max from $100, Lovable Pro at $25, Cursor Pro at $20, Copilot Pro at $10, and Buildful at $10 with 1,000 tasks included. That table is honest about the category error. Cursor is an editor. Lovable hosts an app. Copilot Pro is $10 of mixed credits. Buildful sells a background loop: task in, tested PR out. If you live in the terminal, this is not your tool. If you have a GitHub repo and a product person who can write a sentence, it is.
Panda's own post is clear about the gap. Buildful cannot yet replace a staff engineer on a gnarly migration. It can absorb the queue of well-specified chores that currently rot in Linear. The price only holds if open-weight models keep getting good enough for those chores. The moment Smart Mode has to escalate every task to Opus, the cent-per-task math breaks and you are back on prepaid credit.
Try the three free tasks on a real lint-level issue, not a greenfield app. Read the recorded browser test. If the PR is mergeable without a rewrite, the $10 plan is cheaper than another Cursor seat for the person who should not be in an IDE. If it is not, you learned that in an afternoon instead of a contract.
