Terms & Conditions

Effective 17 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Metarix for use of metarix.io and the public pages we operate (the “Site”). By accessing the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. It is part of your use of the Site.

1. Agreement

You represent that you have authority to accept these Terms. If you use the Site for an organisation, you accept them on that organisation’s behalf.

We may refuse access, block automated traffic, or take the Site offline without notice when we need to protect the publication, readers, or infrastructure.

2. The Site

Metarix is a digital media intelligence hub. It publishes articles, category indexes, and related pages about AI SaaS tools, developer workflows, cloud architecture, and benchmarks. The Site is informational. It is not a broker, law firm, investment adviser, or vendor storefront.

Social buttons that do not yet open a profile are design only. The footer subscribe field is live: submitting an email adds it to our list. We do not send newsletters yet. It does not create an account.

Editorial tools at /studio are not licensed to the public under these Terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. The Site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children.

4. Accounts and subscriptions

The public Site does not currently offer user accounts or paid plans. The footer newsletter field stores your email for a future mailing list. We will not charge you for that list. Additional terms will apply if we add accounts or paid products.

5. Intellectual property

Metarix owns or licenses the Site’s design, compilation, trademarks (including the Metarix name and mark), and original editorial content, except for third-party material identified as such. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Names of products, companies, and people that appear in articles belong to their owners. Mention is for identification, commentary, and reporting. It is not an endorsement, partnership, or licence from those owners unless we say so in writing.

6. Your licence to use the Site

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the Site for personal or internal professional use: reading, linking to public URLs, and sharing those URLs on social platforms.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • Copy, scrape, or republish substantial Site content as your own publication, product, or training corpus.
  • Remove attribution, bylines, source lists, or copyright notices.
  • Frame the Site or present it as part of another product.
  • Use Metarix marks in a way that suggests sponsorship.
  • Access non-public APIs, Studio, or write endpoints except as a person we have authorised.

Short quotation for criticism, review, or news reporting is allowed where copyright law already permits it, with a link to the original article.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with the Site, including flooding, scraping at a volume that degrades service, or bypassing rate limits and security controls.
  • Probe, scan, or attack /studio, /api, or other non-public paths.
  • Submit malware, spam, or deceptive content through any form we later enable.
  • Use the Site to infringe others’ rights or to break the law.
  • Misrepresent that Metarix authored, verified, or stands behind a claim we did not publish.

8. Editorial content

Articles are opinion, analysis, and reporting based on sources we cite. Facts can be wrong, incomplete, or overtaken by later events. Vendors change products. Benchmarks we describe may be the vendor’s own unpublished numbers. You should verify anything you rely on for purchasing, architecture, or employment decisions.

Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, investment, medical, or professional advice. Tool and company coverage is not an offer to sell securities or a recommendation to buy or avoid a product.

Bylines (including house names) identify the editorial voice of a piece. They do not create a personal professional relationship with you.

9. Third-party material

Articles may include links, quotations, and images hosted by others. Those destinations have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or how they treat your data when your browser requests their files.

If an image or passage is used under a source credit, the credit is part of the page. Do not strip it if you quote or share the piece.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, METARIX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that content will remain available at the same URL forever. We may correct, update, unpublish, or archive articles.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, METARIX AND ITS OPERATORS, EDITORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SITE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (CURRENTLY ZERO, BECAUSE THE PUBLIC SITE IS FREE) OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50).

Some places do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence where that limitation is prohibited.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Metarix and its operators against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else’s rights.

14. Changes

We may change the Site and these Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. If you do not, stop using the Site.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or block access, including by IP or user agent, if we believe you have broken these Terms or threatened the Site. The licence in section 6 ends when your access ends. Sections that should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law) survive.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Metarix principally conducts business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue for disputes, except that we may seek injunctive or similar relief in any forum to protect the Site or our intellectual property.

If we later publish a specific governing law and venue on this page or on Contact, that publication replaces this paragraph.

17. General

  • These Terms are the entire agreement for use of the public Site.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the publication.
  • Headings are for convenience only.
  • “Including” means “including without limitation.”

18. Contact

Legal notices: metarix.io/contact. Until an email address is listed there, that page is the official channel.
