Notion AI

Notion AI is the set of AI features built into Notion, the connected workspace for docs, wikis, projects and databases. It includes Notion Agent, a chat-based assistant that can search a workspace, write and edit pages, build and update databases, and, since October 2026, use its own computer and browser to create files such as spreadsheets, documents, slide decks and PDFs. Agent tasks can now run for more than 24 hours. Alongside Notion Agent, Notion AI covers AI blocks, inline writing and editing, page translation, AI database formulas and autofill, AI Meeting Notes, and Custom Agents, which are agents a member or workspace sets up to handle repeated work on a schedule or trigger. Auto is Notion's model router. Instead of making users choose a model, it sends each task to the model that best balances quality, speed and cost, and Notion says it can make credits go up to 10 times further than picking a top model by hand. Users can still pick a specific model when they want to. Pricing: Notion AI is included with the Business and Enterprise plans rather than sold as a separate add-on. Since Nov 2, 2026, all Business and Enterprise workspaces use a credit system. Each member gets 1,500 Standard credits a month for work where Notion picks the model and 500 Select credits a month for work where the member picks the model or runs a personal Custom Agent. Neither pool rolls over or can be shared. Extra usage, high-consumption models and workspace-funded agents draw on paid Notion credits at $10 per 1,000. Overflow from included credits to Notion credits is off by default, so work pauses when an allowance runs out unless a workspace owner turns it on. AI Meeting Notes starts using Standard credits on Dec 1, 2026, at roughly 10 credits per hour-long meeting. Who it is for: teams that already keep their knowledge and projects in Notion and want an assistant that works on that context directly. Notion AI also connects to outside tools through Notion MCP, and individual users can link a ChatGPT plan to their personal Notion Agent.
