The weekly Copilot note posted 2 October is the one that turned Copilot from a model picker into a dispatcher.
Claude Sonnet 5.5 is on Pro, Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise. GPT-6.1 Sol is on Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise. Next to them sits HydraFusion, a research preview in VS Code, the Copilot app, and Copilot CLI, that selects and coordinates models for a task and now prints clearer progress while it works. You are no longer choosing a brain. You are choosing whether to let Copilot choose.

Workflows you can rerun
Dynamic workflows, in public preview in Copilot CLI, the Copilot app, and the SDK, let you describe a process once — release checks, failure triage, a pause for a human — and invoke it again. You can have Copilot write the orchestration in code. A same-week changelog on 1 October said they are on all Copilot plans, experimental in CLI via --experimental or /experimental on. Ask what workflows you have. That is the new team wiki, for better and worse.
Computer use is in preview on macOS and Windows in CLI and the app: Copilot can drive a desktop program that has no API, with an approval before it takes the wheel. Azure canvases in the Copilot app add resource queries, cost checks, and Functions-hosted skills. VS Code 1.140 adds experimental multi-folder agent sessions and reused ignored folders across worktrees so you stop reinstalling node_modules for every agent checkout.
The risk is not the features. It is the silent routing. HydraFusion will look brilliant in a demo and opaque in an incident. Log which model actually ran. Keep a pinned-model escape hatch for the paths where you already measured Sonnet 5.5 against Sol and know which one you want.
