GPT-6.1 Terra is OpenAI's mid-tier GPT-6 family model, released October 26, 2026, for visual reasoning, computer use, agentic coding and writing. It accepts text and image input, has a 1,050,000-token context window and 128,000 max output tokens, and is available in the OpenAI API as gpt-6.1-terra, in ChatGPT Work and Codex, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Bedrock and Microsoft Foundry. API access is paid per token; tool calling requires the Responses API.
